2012 Scholarships Available

The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for scholarships. The application deadline is 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012.

2012 Inductees Announced

The Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame Inc. today officially announced its inductees for 2012. The five individuals judged to have made a significant and lasting contribution to agriculture in Manitoba during their lifetime are:

  • Wilfred John Chegwin (Posthumously) formerly of Shoal Lake
  • Edward Philip Hudek of Winnipeg
  • Herbert Melbourne Lapp (Posthumously)formerly of Winnipeg
  • Hayden Earl Tolton of Winnipeg
  • Edward W. Tyrchniewicz of Winnipeg

2011 Inductees Announced

The Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame Inc. officially announced its inductees for 2011 at their Annual General Meeting on April 6, 2011. The two individuals judged to have made a significant and lasting contribution to agriculture in Manitoba during their lifetime are:

  • Vernon William McIntyre of Elphinstone
  • Robert Keith Smith of Oak Lake

A formal Induction Ceremony to recognize these individuals will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the William Glesby Centre in Portage la Prairie, on July 21, 2011.

Harvest Gala

The Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame (MAHF) and the Red River Exhibition Association (RREA) have joined forces to host a third harvest gala banquet to recognize and honour all current and past MAHF Inductees and RREA’s Farm Families of the Year. The event will be held at the Viscount Gort in Winnipeg.
