Scholarships Available

Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry Scholarships
The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for three scholarships worth $1,000.00 each.

The Farm Family of the Year Scholarship will be awarded in 2011 in honour of the Chapman family, of Virden, and their contribution to the vitality and sustainability of agriculture in Manitoba and to recognize their selection as Manitoba’s Farm Family of the Year 2010.

The Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame Scholarship will be awarded for the first time in 2011 in recognition of the Hall of Fame inductees’ contribution to agriculture in Manitoba.

The Red River Co-operative Scholarship will be awarded in 2011 with preference to a Red River Co-op member.

Criteria for applicants:

1. a Manitoba resident
2. actively involved in a farming operation
3. first year student entering agriculture or a related program of study at a Manitoba University or an accredited Manitoba College.
