As a special celebration in honour of Canada’s 150 birthday, as well as our province’s rich agricultural heritage, we are pleased to announce that a new dinner in celebration of many facets of our important provincial agricultural industry took place on Monday, June 19, 2017. This new dinner combined the efforts of the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame’s Induction Ceremony, the awarding of the Red River Exhibition Foundation’s annual scholarships as well as the announcement of the 2017 Red River Exhibition Association’s Farm Family of the Year.
The evening, attended by approximately 200 guests, was emceed by well-known Winnipegger, Jim Ingebrigtsen and celebrated the achievements and lifelong contributions of individuals in the field of agriculture. Our two, 2017 inductees Neil Van Ryssel and Dr. Everett More were inducted into the Hall of Fame and were celebrated by their families, friends, colleagues and prominent Manitobans including the Minister of Agriculture, Ralph Eichler, Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman and many other government officials and industry leaders.
